Happy October!

Last weekend was a good time! I got together on Saturday with a few wonderful ladies from my surrogacy message board. We had a great time – it was nice talking with other people who understood exactly what I was going through, how I feel, etc. We had some really good laughs…especially at the room we were seated in. The restaurant put us in a large round room with a big round table in the middle. Sounds nice, right? Well, it was with the exception of the theme – it was Pope! The whole room was covered in pictures of the Pope and cherubs. There was even a Pope bust in the middle of the table. Ha – I don’t think he would approve of the conversations we were having in that room! Anyway, it was a great time and I really hope we can do it again sometime!

This week has been fairly boring. Mostly just trying to get everything ready for this weekend. Our big camping trip is tomorrow! Woooohooo! I’m very excited! Of course I’m worried too – I don’t know how Shayla is going to handle the whole sleeping outside thing. I hope she does ok. As long as that goes well, I expect to have a great weekend. We haven’t gone camping in a few years and I miss it. We’ll see how my pregnant butt feels when we get back though – lol!

I talked to M&M last night and we’ve made plans to get together twice in the next month – yay!! Paul, Shayla, and I are going to head into the city on the 20th and have some lunch and spend the day. Then on 11/3 I have a surprise planned for them so they are coming down to my house. Yippee! :-)

I can’t believe Shayla’s birthday is coming up so quickly. Paul and I were going over the next few weekends to figure out what we were going to get done around the house before her birthday party and we only have one weekend free to get everything done before then! Holy cow! My little girl is growing up so fast! :-(
