Updates Galore!

I guess the most important update is my lining check. The clinic called and left a message with Paul that my lining was great. He asked them about the IE vs. TS and they said while they prefer TS, IE is just fine. WOOHOO! I go back on Friday morning for them to take another quick look -- but for now it looks like we'll be transferring next week some time. :-) And M&M will be staying with me during the time of the transfer - so that's wonderful as well. I'm really looking forward to that!

And onto the other updates:

We found out over the weekend that our clinic has changed it's protocol and will now allow one embaby from each IF to be transferred. That is AMAZING news. This has been a huge issue with M&M and the clinic from day 1 of this journey so it's fantastic that it is going "our" way. Now I am hoping and praying for twins so M&M each get a bio baby out of this (of course they would both love ANY baby that came from this, but one of each would be so special!).

My weekend was great. We went out to Brick on Saturday and spent some time with my family. My mom's best friend took Shayla for a walk so I got to relax a little..which was very nice and much needed. Saturday evening we had dinner and cake for my dad's birthday. I always enjoy getting together with my family - we have such a great time. And it's really fun to see my sister every week or every other week because I get to see her belly grow! Sunday we took Shayla to the boardwalk and put her on some rides. She was less than thrilled - haha! I guess we'll try again in a few months and see if she enjoys them a little more!

I'm very excited right now - I am off all week next week. I mean, I'm MORE excited by the transfer being next week. But I'm very excited just to have off. It's my first vacation from work for a long time. The last job I had I was considered part time so I didn't get any paid vacation. The job before that I was an independent contractor - if I didn't work, I didn't get a dime. So this "getting paid to not work" thing is a long time coming!! And it will be nice to get out of here. I love my job and most of the people I work with...but there are a select few who feel the need to torture me on a daily basis; it will be great to get away from them for a little while. Although I do have to say I just received an email from a coordinator I deal with a lot who said (and I quote - haha) "Linda, I really appreciate your flexibility and cooperation... you're a breath of fresh air compared to other agencies I deal with!!!" :-) That makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Now I should forward that to the personnel director who told me I need to stop caring so much and taking so much responsibility for my job. Do you think someone who didn't give a rat's ass about their job would get an email like that??? Ah well, at least *I* know I do a good job. :-)
